We are close to the seventh Friends of Friends 2017 meeting that will be held in Cordoba (Argentina) from April 3 to 7, 2017. We are pleased to announce that we have numerous national and international guests which can be seen on the official website\u00a0 http:\/\/fof.oac.uncor.edu\/fof\/invited.html<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Important:<\/strong>
\nThe deadline for abstracts submission and registration is February 19, 2017. Applications must be completed through the web form ( http:\/\/fof.oac.uncor.edu\/fof\/registration.php<\/a>).<\/p>\n

We encourage the participation of young researchers and students. Thanks to the support of the Argentinean Astronomical Society, we have funds available to cover partial travel expenses (accomodation\/tickets) for members presenting work (poster or talk) and with their dues up to date.<\/p>\n

The poster session will also have an oral presentation of five minutes per person to summarize the work.<\/p>\n

In this edition there will be a session on Astroinformatics with python tutorials, visualization, machine learning, and HPC. In addition, there
\nwill be recreational, cultural, and touristic activities.<\/p>\n

Alentamos la participaci\u00f3n de j\u00f3venes investigadores y estudiantes. Gracias al apoyo de la Asociaci\u00f3n Argentina de Astronom\u00ed\u00ada, se cuenta con fondos para solventar gastos parciales (vi\u00e1ticos y\/o viaje)para los miembros que presenten trabajos (p\u00f3ster o charla) y se encuentren con sus cuotas al d\u00ed\u00ada.<\/p>\n

La sesi\u00f3n de p\u00f3ster contar\u00e1 adem\u00e1s con un espacio oral de cinco minutos por persona para presentar un resumen de su trabajo.<\/p>\n

En esta edici\u00f3n se realizar\u00e1 una sesi\u00f3n sobre Astroinform\u00e1tica con tutoriales sobre python,visualizaci\u00f3n, machine learning (aprendizaje
\nautom\u00e1tico) y HPC.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s se realizar\u00e1n actividades recreativas, culturales y tur\u00edsticas.<\/p>\n
