Between December 9 and 12, 2025, the city of C\u00f3rdoba was the setting for the international scientific meeting \u201cFrom Decoupling to Galaxies and the Large-scale structure (DGL Fest)\u201d<\/strong>, an event organized in honor of the distinguished career of Diego Garc\u00eda Lambas<\/strong>. The meeting, organized by the Institute of Theoretical and Experimental Astronomy (IATE, CONICET-UNC)<\/strong>, took place in person at the CONICET-IMBIV Auditorium of the Faculty of Exact, Physical, and Natural Sciences of the National University of C\u00f3rdoba<\/strong> and was endorsed by the C\u00f3rdoba Astronomical Observatory (OAC)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Participation and Organizing Committees<\/h2>\n

The \u201cDGL Fest\u201d successfully brought together a broad and prestigious astronomical community, evidencing the deep respect and international recognition of Dr. Garc\u00eda Lambas\u2019s career. According to the official list, it gathered more than 90 participants<\/strong>, representing an international diversity that included institutions from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, the United States, Canada, Germany, Mexico, Spain, and France<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The event brought together a prominent selection of leading figures<\/strong> in the field of Astronomy, whose guest list included: Jailson Alcaniz<\/strong> (Observat\u00f3rio Nacional, Brazil), Victoria Alonso<\/strong> (OAC, IATE \u2013 Argentina), Vladimir Avila-Reese<\/strong> (UNAM \u2013 Mexico), Georgina Coldwell<\/strong> (UNSJ, CONICET \u2013 Argentina), Mario Diaz<\/strong> (UTRGV \u2013 USA), J\u00falio Fabris<\/strong> (Espirito Santo U. \u2013 Brazil), Gaspar Galaz<\/strong> (UC \u2013 Chile), Leopoldo Infante<\/strong> (Carnegie Science, Las Campanas Obs. \u2013 Chile), Susana Landau<\/strong> (UBA, CONICET \u2013 Argentina), Lucas Macri<\/strong> (UTRGV \u2013 USA), Julio Navarro<\/strong> (U. Victoria \u2013 Canada), the 2019 Nobel Prize in Physics, James Peebles<\/strong> (Princeton \u2013 USA, remote participation), Pablo Recabarren<\/strong> (UNC, CONICET \u2013 Argentina), Ariel S\u00e1nchez<\/strong> (MPE \u2013 Germany), and Claudia Scoccola<\/strong> (Department of Physics, FCFM, University of Chile).<\/p>\n

The scientific organization was carried out by a committee of colleagues and professionals from his academic circle: Sol Alonso, Saulo Carneiro, Sof\u00eda Cora, Hern\u00e1n Muriel, Oscar Reula, Ariel S\u00e1nchez, and Patricia Tissera<\/strong>. Local logistics were managed by the IATE Local Organizing Committee (LOC)<\/strong>, composed of: Carlos Bornancini, Patricio Colazo, Octavio Garc\u00eda, Sebasti\u00e1n Gualpa, Heliana Luparello, Ana O\u2019Mill, Nelson Padilla, Dante Paz, Facundo Rodr\u00edguez, Silvio Rodr\u00edguez, and Facundo Toscano<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A Scientific Program Covering the Great Questions of the Cosmos<\/h2>\n

Over the course of four days, the meeting offered an exhaustive and diverse scientific program, structured into invited talk sessions, oral presentations, and poster sessions.<\/p>\n

The central themes reflected the broad research lines cultivated by Garc\u00eda Lambas throughout his career:<\/p>\n
